We find the Keurig k130 a reasonable compromise for people who prefer pod makes for the ease they provide. The unit is fairly priced and affordable and it’s less strain on your electrical systems — which makes it ideal for offices and for older homes, which have difficulty bearing the large power pulls from newer models. The unit functions exactly as a typical Keurig machine would and accepts all pods except the my Keurig pods which allow you to use ground coffee of your choosing.
Here is what our readers say about the Keurig k130:
When it comes to ease of use, I cannot say enough about the Keurig k130. I’ve owned another Keurig previously but after years of use decided to switch to this model to save myself some extra counter space from a bigger, bulkier version. The most satisfying change is no longer needing to worry about running back into the kitchen, or driving back home because I left the brewer on. Yes, I’m a worry wart and the auto shut off gives us peace of mind.
The only issue with the Keurig k130 we came across was the brew time, which could take nearly 3 minutes to brew each cup and that can really add up when trying to brew a cup for everyone. I don’t think I need to mention the fact that everyone has experienced those mornings when a single cup just isn’t going to be enough to get you out the door. Still it functions so easily that I can even delegate my 8-year old son to go toss a pod in, close and press the button to save us the trouble. Thumbs up from us for being mess free and perfect for us.
